But i do remember being a little girl and watching Selma, Lord, Selma with @jurneesmollett and making a decision that i would forever care about every election - local and all the way up.

There’s a lot of reading and research involved. Prayer. Debate watching and sometimes even note taking during long speeches.

Even though i enjoy it, it can almost feel like a part time job (that i don’t get paid for and often want to quit) to learn and listen.
But privilege is real. We all have it in different ways.
And today, i used the privilege of having a voice. I voted. And i hope you did, too!
