// Thread \\\\ Jalen Reagor: Justice for the Dynasty Case v JJET

I mulled over my thread for hours & didn’t like the end result. Too subjective on Reagor’s side. Yes, he has a very small sample size in the NFL, but for what he’s been through it’s pretty good

College stats:
Reagor took a massive leap in his sophomore year, as seen below. He was expected to take a similar leap in his junior year, however his numbers declined.
Why? Well for starters, he saw a 31% catchable rate on his targets in 2019. It’s amazing he produced at all.
@pahowdy ‘s work in College market share receiving yards shows that Reagor wasn’t far off from Justin Jefferson’s % of production. Another ode to how dang good Jalen Reagor was in 2018 (& how bad his offense was in 2019).
I find this comment ironic, given as of 10/7 Carson Wentz had an accurate rate of 42.8% (was 32nd behind Trubisky & Dwayne Haskins 💀).. Granted he has improved over the past 3 weeks.

Reagor might be just as limited by QB play as Jefferson is. https://twitter.com/salvetridfs/status/1253716201873735680
One of my favorite follows @SportsfanaticMB highlights Reagor’s playmaking ability, speed, & contact balance in the post below.
If PHI utilizes Reagor more than just as a deep threat, the sky’s the limit. Just like Jefferson, Reagor does a lot with a little. https://twitter.com/sportsfanaticmb/status/1136415798942228482
From a fantasy perspective, just say JJET has a 78% catch rate compared to a 58% catch rate for Reagor..
With MIN averaging 27 pass att/gm and PHI averaging 38/gm, the gap isn’t as wide between the two as I initially lead on. The volume likely favors Reagor, as long as..
..Wentz feeds him the ball with accurate passes. PHI has done well with getting Travis Fulgham involved, & the TEs will always be involved.

So what are the differences?
🔷Volume: Reagor > JJET
🔷Route Running: JJET > Reagor
🔷Contested: JJET=Reagor
🔷YAC: Reagor>JJET
It really is close between the two. So I suppose it comes down to two other factors:

1. Which offense do you trust more?
PHI v MIN

2. Does Jalen Reagor carry more volatility given his injuries?
Yes

I side with Justin Jefferson > Jalen Reagor.

After all, he’s PFF WR1 👀 https://twitter.com/pff/status/1322176951608627200
Summary:

As good as Jalen Reagor will be (I think easily a top 24 WR), Justin Jefferson is a bit of a safer pick and I like his chances at a Top 12 finish in his future.

Best Ball? Jalen Reagor might be the best choice for those Boom weeks.
