Here’s a thread some might not like & some might relate to-
This year was my first time voting. Until the last 4 years I felt unaffected by politics for the most part. I was basically “fuck em, it doesn’t matter.”
I’ve become more informed over the last 4 years.

Especially this year. Voting for me was a chance to say “I’ve heard both sides. I’ve lived thru the last 4 years. I’ve seen my friends panic and worry.” and I got to use my voice.
A lot has happened since 2016. Especially this year. I understand some people feel forgotten about.

I felt that way for awhile. I understand maybe you don’t understand the information. I was there too.
I wasn’t exactly giddy over voting for Biden. I’m not necessarily a fan of “the lesser of 2 evils.” But one thing I have become a fan of is using the voice I have.

In 2016 I could have voted, but I didn’t. I actually feel a sense of guilt and responsibility for where we are now because that’s just who I am. All because I didn’t vote. I figured everything would be fine if I didn’t vote. In my eyes, I was wrong. It didn’t work out.
All this to say, I was excited to vote to hopefully fix the wrong the wrong I personally see and feel responsible for.
I get that it’s not for everyone. And now that I’m more informed I do feel like you should vote. But I also understand feeling left out & not understanding.

Just please know the knowledge is there, whichever side you’re on. The knowledge is there and it’s easier to understand than you’d think. If I can sift through everything and make what in my eyes is a well informed decision then I think you can too.
