I need to briefly go to my happy place, so here's a thread of Ann Dvorak with her dachshund and cocker spaniel over the years. Here's Ann with Heinze as a puppy on the set of I SELL ANYTHING in 1934.

I never did find out the name of the black cocker spaniel, but love the diving board fun in Encino in 1935.

At some point, another cocker joined the family but that doggie seemed to have been more camera shy. Here they are circa 1936. #anndvorak
Ann was a lifelong lover of animals and would call the ASPCA on Warner Bros. if she thought animals were being harmed during filming. #anndvorak

Flash forward to around 1947 when Ann was living in Brentwood. Of course she got the dogs in the divorce from Leslie Fenton! #anndvorak
Here's a last one of Ann Dvorak & the pups from around 1947. Ann had both of these doggies for at least 13 years and later in life always had cats as pets. She was a totally animal person which is one of many reasons why I adore her.
