Looking forward to 6 years of Libs telling us in Kentucky how stupid we are because we didn't elect Amy McGrath.
Hey, I get it. You spent 8 hours on a Saturday writing post cards, all in an effort to "Ditch Mitch". That must have been an incredible inconvenience.
And here's the thing: most Kentuckians share thst sentiment. McConnell is very unpopular here. He could have been defeated. Matt Jones could have beaten him. Charles Booker could have beaten him.
But Amy McGrath was hand chosen and anointed by Chuck Schumer, so she was going to be the nominee. Unfortunately, Chuck Schumer is much more unpopular in Kentucky than Mitch McConnell. Run all the McGrath pro-Trump ads you want. At end of day, voters see McGrath as an extension
.. of Chuck Schumer.
Schumer knows all of this, of course. It just doesn't matter. He was willing to lose this seat, because he knew McGrath would raise a shitload of money.

Democratic leadership in this country doesn't care about actually winning. They prefer the adversarial role. It allows them to real the benefits of the Republicans' ghoulish policies, but are able to maintain the moral high ground.
By maintaining this air of resistance, the Dems are able to extract hundreds of millions of dollars every 2, 4, and 6 years.
Amy McGrath didn't raise all those millions of dollars because she is popular in Kentucky.
Amy McGrath didn't raise all those millions of dollars because she is popular in Kentucky.
She raised those millions of dollars because she is popular with out of state suburbanites who don't know a god damned thing about the political landscape in this state. But of course, in about 24 hours, they are going to make sure to air their displeasure, and remind us that..
We are severely under-educated, and very poor. They are going to say shit like "Why do Kentuckians keep voting against their own interests?", without actually knowing what our interests are.
I feel like I could go on and on, but I'll finish with this. If you Libs want Rand Paul evicted in 2022, then stay the fuck out of our election and let us choose the candidate. Not whatever war criminal Schumer chooses.
One more thing: I voted for Amy McGrath. I would have voted for a toilet seat if it had been running against McConnell. But she was a bad candidate, and there are candidates who would have had a much better chance of beating Mitch.
