I woke up at 5 AM this morning, to start making "get out the vote calls" to swing state voters on the East Coast.

Here's what I'm hearing from actual voters in Pennsylvania this morning…
I talked to a Black man and his sister living in a deep red part of Pennsylvania. They tried to vote this morning, but it was too cold and the line too long, so they're going back before 11 AM. They know the stakes, and there's no way they're going to be turned around.
I spoke to a young woman in Pennsylvania who was there e-a-r-l-y this morning. There was a line, and she had a Trump voter there trying to get her to switch sides, but by and large, it was a really good experience.

(I obv encouraged her to report to https://www.padems.com/vote/ )
I talked to a White twentysomething in Pennsylvania who's planning to vote for Biden after work today, and promised to help turn out her friends.

She'll be posting on IG stories, and offering a ride to anyone who needs it. đź’™
And this morning, I spoke to a Pennsylvania mom who's planning to vote for @JoeBiden with her 20 year old daughter today.

Her daughter's so excited, and mom compared it to how she felt voting for Obama in 2008

They're going to take a photo when they vote, to remember the moment
This morning, I spoke to an older disabled woman in Pennsylvania who never got her mail-in ballot, can't safely get to the polls, and may not have Internet.

She was so frustrated not to be able to vote for Biden.

This was a failure of our democracy.

We need to #CripTheVote.
I called a Pennsylvania woman just as she was heading out the door to take her sick mom to the hospital.

She wanted to vote for @JoeBiden, to take out "that jerk Trump," but her mom's health came first.

I ache for her.
Calling Pennsylvania this morning, I talked to a Muslim immigrant voter with a slight Desi accent *right* as he was about about to head out the polls. He had his ID, knew his polling place, and was so prepared to vote for @JoeBiden.
I talked to a PA woman who wanted to go vote for @JoeBiden—except she and her husband were just notified they may have been exposed to COVID, and they never got mail-in ballots despite repeatedly calling the state. I asked her to call https://www.padems.com/vote/  for advice.
I'm really hoping the @padems can give the couple potentially exposed to COVID some good advice. She reported seeing a Trump caravan this weekend — "not a pretty sight." She and her husband have two votes for @JoeBiden, but they believe in science and don't want to infect folks.
Doing GOTV calls in Pennsylvania, I just talked to a man who's hoping to vote for @JoeBiden, but his work just gave him a big delivery job, and now he's not certaim when he'll be able to go the polls.

*This* is why #ElectionDay needs to be a national holiday.
