Good morning all. A brief PSA for you. If you have an Android phone and you don't want to doomscroll today, go into your phone settings and select Digital Wellness > Focus Mode. There, you can set a schedule to turn off access to distracting apps, like FB and Twitter.
What's really nice about this Focus mode is it has a "Take a break" function that allows you to go into those app with a 5, 15, or 30 minute time limit. Once time is up, it's a hard stop.
So if you need to doomscroll, you can do it in shorter increments.
