Y’all Election Day makes me sappy.
Last cycle I was a candidate who very few folks thought had a chance, but I did the work and was blessed with other people who believed in me and also did the work. We knew we might not win, but we also knew we were laying groundwork. 1/x

I’m so grateful for each and every candidate who has stepped up to run, from those in targeted seats who’ve been pummeled with negative ads in an unprecedented spending year to those in “impossible” seats who are building infrastructure even though they’re unlikely to win. 2/x
To the candidates who had near misses or tough losses in 2018 and responded by signing up to do it all over again. You’re all heroes. Running, while it has beautiful moments, has a lot of tough ones too. Thank you for making our democracy work by putting your name out there. 3/x
Regardless of the results tonight, your race mattered. You elevated issues that matter to you. You inspired voters and volunteers to get engaged for the first time. You held the person you ran against accountable. Again, thank you.
Now go get people to the polls! 4/4
