not to Create Discourse™ but seeing as we're on the precipice of finding out whether one of the world's superpowers will fall even more to open fascism, i wanna talk about something that grinds my gears about hopepunk, liberalism and this idea that hope will just fix things
hope is inert matter, it does nothing in a vacuum. it only matters as the foundation of action. the only good idea to come out of geoff johns's green lantern is that hope is nothing without the willpower to act.
