Some people are confusing progressivism with equating a dictatorial, genocide-denying regime to a nation aiming to recover from genocide. Just because you believe diplomatic peace should be the way to go doesn't mean you should be ignoring the asymmetrical nature of this war. 1/7
This war spawned a couple of self-hating views who enjoy getting the attention of Azerbaijanis by being like "yes I think Armenians deserve this because I heard someone say an anti-Azerbaijani thing on the street once, so both sides are basically the same lol" 2/7
They make statements about the war like "stop the war crimes on both sides!". Meanwhile, they ignore any asymmetry of it, like how only Azerbaijan is the only one using phosphorus bombs or directly justifies shelling NK cities because "they're part of the conflict zone". 3/7
They also tend to care a lot about the consequences of the 90s war and little about the pogroms and direct Azerbaijani government attack on the NK people which led to it. 4/7
Then they bring up things like the Madrid Principles, failing to acknowledge how it doesn't address the crucial concerns of either side. But hey, it's a nice paper that says "peace" so let's support it, right? 5/7
With "peace", they think the Armenian side currently has as much power to stop the fighting as the
side, the one driving it. They condemn any calls of Armenia to continue defending the Artsakh people... like there's any better options. They equate them to
war rhetoric. 6/7

In short, they're not progressive, they're privileged and ignorant. They think giving up an existential struggle for "peace" (aka ethnic and cultural cleansing) is the moral choice, not realizing that Armenians in Artsakh can't afford to do so. 7/7
