ok the Tories need to stop weaponising wellbeing now! It is *not* their place to decide what's good for people's mental health & tbh they don't have a very good track record on that amirite?
'Wellbeing' doesn't only matter when it's also good for the economy! Most research tells us that wellbeing is anti-growth, post- or anti-work, communitarian & collaborative, not just a bunch of treats you can buy from Amazon
People whose wellbeing emphatically *hasn't* mattered over the last decade:

homeless people, refugees, young people, disabled people, women, Black people, Muslims, poor people, EU citizens, veterans, students
WELLBEING IS REVOLUTIONARY

It began as a critical discourse to challenge the use of GDP to assess a country's success. Social determinants of wellbeing are equality, education, rights & a safe & flourishing environment. Wellbeing discourse is critical and political.
Wellbeing is not:

paternalistic, ableist, growth-oriented, privatised, individualist, or whatever can be used to justify the latest Tory policy cock-up
