This is how political movements protect abusers, bullies and general shitheads, and you do not owe them. If you truly believe in that value of the left once ironically described by a tankie on here as "unrelenting criticism of all that exists" apply it to your comrade too.
I don't actually want to support movements whose entire point is that you're an obedient cog with no independent thought, actually. If I believed that was a political good I would have joined the Tories.
Just because this sits in my head rent free now I want to highlight that this person referred to football team solidarity as a model to be emulated in political parties.
Normal people have been making "home team can do no wrong" jokes for years and here this person is going "home team CAN do no wrong! you're right!"
Also, it's not even a good analogy because sports fans criticise their team managers all the fucking time.
I'm not even a sports fan and I know this.
