As with any religion, you have fundamentalists that given the correct circumstances will corrupt G-ds message. 1/9

We have fought many wars or raged on jihad in the name of G-d. Until we take away the human impulse to corrupt our tenets there will always be conflict. This is manifested by man not our belief in G-d. 2/9

If you look at the Islamic revolution of the 70’s, it was led by a cohort of men wanting things to be in their image of the Qu’ran. They corrupted power & debased women in a misogynistic society. 3/9

If you look at Turkey today, what became a progressive secular society under Ataturk is now becoming more dictatorial, fundamentalist, under the sway of Erdogan. Due to his corruption of power, there is no country where it is more dangerous to be a free reporter. 4/9

Take Spain after the re conquest from the Umayyad Caliphate, the religious zealots punished the population, to convert to Christianity at pain of death. Even then death swiftly followed. That was again man corrupting to his own ends of conquest the words of G-d. 5/9

Look at the 20/30s the growth of fundamentalist politics in the shape of socialism, one left wing and the other right. Again it was men, grasping after power over others who caused misery over the people under them. 6/9

In the 60s we have the start of Arab fundamentalist ambitions with the Muslim Brotherhood and the growth of Palestinian terrorism. The MB have not gone, they are still there banned in many countries they wish to overthrow. 7/9

From my simple discourse above, what we today have to understand it is to be more tolerating of each other’s differences. We together have to take the stand against the fundamentalists of all religions and political parties. Stop them from sowing division and mistrust.8/9
