Breaking: Hong Kong's public broadcaster RTHK has confirmed one of its producers has been arrested.

The producer worked on an investigation RTHK did into how police responded (and failed to respond) to the Yuen Long assault on protesters by government loyalists https://twitter.com/rthk_enews/status/1323518418079768577
This was the investigation (with English subtitles).

It is currently not clear why the producer has been arrested and on what charge.

We - and I am sure many others - are chasing @hkpoliceforce for a response
Important thread on why this arrest really matters in terms of press freedoms.

Vehicle searches have long been used by press (including by stanch pro-gov papers like TKP & WWP).

Hard to think to a legit public interest reason to restrict access for reporters. https://twitter.com/lwcalex/status/1323569948568870912
