Morning @HumzaYousaf. Can we talk rehabilitation courses for prisoners? Before the pandemic it was difficult to get access to the courses. Now it is pretty much at a stand still. What are you personally going to do to ensure that these course recommence and are properly funded?

There is clear evidence from @ParoleBoardScot and my own personal experiences that because prisoners are not getting access to these courses there is a significant knock on effect on progression to less secure conditions and in turn parole. This can not be allowed to continue.

How do you expect these people to provide @ParoleBoardScot with the required evidence that they need to demonstrate that there has been a reduction in risk and that it has been tested? We can’t just keep people locked up and do nothing. We need some action from you @HumzaYousaf.

Something needs to be done immediately. I can think of a number of my clients who would have been released on parole but for issues surrounding the pandemic. Courses are one part of the progression path. The whole process needs looked at as this pandemic continues.
