#NOW RTHK producer Choi Yuk-ling was taken by police out of her home.
Let's go bback to the 7.21 episode of Hong Kong Connection: the production team went thru hours of CCTV footage collected from streets near Yuen Long station, and spotted a few cars that had been there and used by the white-clad mob. Then they applied for vehicle particulars...
Two village leaders were named, and the producers went to their homes to look for them for reaction. However, they were even driven away by other villagers, or declined interview request.
The Hong Kong Connection producers also visited addresses registered for the cars they spotted in CCTV footage used by the white-clad mob, trying to figure out who owned the cars, why they were there, and why bamboo rods and national flags would be taken out from the cars.
Choi and her colleagues' work on investigating the 7.21 Yuen Long attack was recognized by international awards .
HK Journalists Association said it's "extremely appalled and angry" with the arrest and urged the police to immediately release Choy Yuk-ling.
RTHK Programme Staff Union said they are still trying to learn about details of Choy Yuk-ling's case and criticized police's handling of making high-profile arrest while giving information about the case as "anonymous sources".
