A thread on the key races to watch for on election night.
1) Florida. They count the mail-in vote early. Trump has said Florida's mail-in voting system is reliable. It's basically his home state. He basically can't win without it. If called for Biden on Nov 3, game over.

2) North Carolina - not super important for Biden, though if he wins NC, he'll probably win the Electoral College big. More important, Dems need Cunningham to win to take the Senate. Most of the NC votes will be counted on Nov 3, but the rest will take days to count if it's close
3) Maine Senate. It was looking like Gideon would win, but some Mainers seem to have been duped by Collins' meaningless vote against Barrett. With NC, ME would give Ds 50 Senate seats (+ Harris tiebreaker). It will be tough for Ds to take the Senate without it. Maine counts early
4) Georgia. A win here would give Biden ~350 Electoral College votes - huge win. More important, both Senate races could very well go to a special election (if no candidate gets 50%), which could put control of the Senate in limbo until Jan 5th 2021! Georgia counts votes early.
5) Iowa. Seems to have tipped slightly red over the last week or two. Not pivotal for Biden, but that Senate seat would nearly guarantee Dems control of the chamber. Most ballots will be counted Nov 3, but this race could be so close it may not be called for several days.
6) Texas. It's unlikely to tip blue in 2020, but if it did, what a massive landslide for Biden and an ominous sign for the future of the @GOP! Early voter turnout in Texas has been massive, so it's not out of the question. The Senate seat looks out of reach though.
7) Montana Senate. A bit of a stretch, but I'm rooting for @karinkirk_mt to flip that seat to Bullock. The early vote rate has been high, and Montana counts votes quick, so we'll know on election night if that seat is within reach.
Those are the main ones. Arizona counts quick and should go blue, but if it goes to Trump that will be an ominous sign for the overall election results. Pennsylvania is of course the most important state for Biden/Trump, but will take many days to count all its mail-in ballots.
