This is not to downplay the danger. Of course the outcome is dangerous. Of course one outcome is objectively better than the other.
But that's the case all throughout history. Events like this always seem dire. Imagining a future past these events always seems impossible. 3/4

But there is a future. The struggle will continue.
The outcome of this election is only a single event in history.
Take all the time you need to grieve the outcome -- then prepare for the story to continue. Paint history with as much active kindness as you can. 4/4
