No, but look at FDR. While he was no socialist, a lot of socialists respected and respect him. Ruthless? Absolutely. Maniacal power-dreaming? No, that was more Huey Long. Relentless bitter shitposting? Mostly the opponents of the New Deal engaged in that for a couple decades.

At it's base, politics is a contest over which groups get which resources and privileges. If you want to overturn much of the status quo, then politics is not a contest for kind, forgiving people to be everlastingly polite, respectful and deferential to traditions.

Luckily there have been politicians which have succeeded at overturning the status quo & we can even say that many of those didn't go around murdering people. They thoroughly broke their opponents in the political & economic spheres but didn't do the same in their personal lives.
