I support the Clerk’s Office decision to halt 9 of 10 drive thru voting locations on Election Day.
Judge Hanen made it clear in his formal ruling this evening that future attempts to invalidate votes will focus on votes cast at 9 of 10 drive-thru locations on Election Day.

At every turn, we have focused on protecting voting rights and voters from disenfranchisement. At this junction, ceasing drive thru voting at those 9 locations is the way to continue that commitment.
With 806 voting locations and the ability for citizens to vote at any polling location, voting still remains more accessible than ever. I continue to urge every eligible voter to make their voice heard. Vote.
The move is made necessary to protect the voting rights of Harris County voters. The 12th hour challenge leaves us no choice. We have to protect the right to vote and the Clerk's office will work aggressively to inform, guide & support voters who attempt to vote drive-thru
To be clear, this does not excuse the frivolous arguments by those who have sought to invalidate votes.
