Agreed.

I do a pass-game hit chart by hand for most opponents.

Literally marking where the ball is thrown when they're on the hash and in the MOF. Complete and incomplete passes.

It's very illuminating, and helps A TON with coverage calls and where to place personnel. https://twitter.com/BillWyrick2/status/1323472556733726720
If you're an offensive coordinator you need to do this as part of your self-scout.

If you're struggling in the pass game, before you say your QB is no good, make sure you're not asking him to make a ton of low-percentage throws to the wide side of the field.
I did this for a particular opponent and the 7 yard box to the boundary was full of pass attempts while everywhere else on the field was hardly touched.

Guess where we put our best DBs and rolled our coverage?
I recommend doing this by hand as much as possible as opposed to inputting pass zones in HUDL.

The more you do by hand, the more you retain. Not to mention that it forces you to watch each play a few more times so it's a little more sticky in your memory.
It's almost a bastardized version of padding plays.
