I talked to a 22 year old self-described "incel" a couple of years ago. I asked good faith questions about why he felt the way he did about women. It was both enlightening and horrifying, but I noticed it all came down to one excuse.

I told him about how I didn't lose my virginity until I was almost 19. I pointed out that I'm not a Chad, but I've had lots of girlfriends and got laid plenty.

He hated women. His excuse came down to "nobody will fuck me."
I was like, look, did you ever stopped to think that women won't fuck you because of your personality?

So basically they're pissed that they can't get a "hot" woman, so they take it out on all women. They listen to "men" that have them convinced that no woman will want them because "women only want Chads."

This kind of misogyny is a self-perpetuating virus.

I need to say, it was a genuine attempt to reach a young man and bring him out of his toxic community. I *wanted* to feel sorry for him, but i just couldn't. He didn't want to be saved, and that's on him.
