For nearly all of my conscious life, I was a Democrat. I was a D because I believe in non-discrimination, civil liberties, the Constitution and tolerance. As the party drifted & then lurched left, I felt more & more disenchanted, but I did not leave the party until ...1/X
December 18, 2019 when with Bolshevik like discipline, the House Democrats voted to impeach the President over a non-crime, knowing that it could not make a case for removal in the Senate. ... 2/X
As a result, I left before Newspeak took complete hold. Before it became unacceptable to believe that citizenship has its privileges. Before capitalism as the basis for our economy was questioned. Where merit was view as racist. ... 3/X
Mostly I am glad I left the party before the limited violent outbursts that usually involved destruction of property became so widespread & so threatening of human life & limb. These are the actions of fascists of an earlier era, done in the name of "Anti-Fascism." ... 4/X
I could not be part of a party that believe such things. I believe in merit, equality of opportunity not equality of results, I believe in property rights and freedom. I still believe in non-discrimination, civil liberties, the Constitution and tolerance. ... 5/X
So as a result, I have no choice in this election. I have to vote to reelect @realDonaldTrump. @TheDemocrats as they exist today is not the party that it was. I suspect that many Democrats feel the same way, but will not speak so publicly about it. ... 6/X
I suspect many will not immediately join the @GOP. I have not either. I reregistered as an Independent. Having been in a defining relationship & having your partner change & betray you, will make you gun-shy. ... 7/X
But I see many more people who you would not expect moving to the @GOP. We are in a realignment the likes we have never seen. And good riddance. I hear people say, but even Republicans hate Trump and that is true. Many do. But @realDonaldTrump isn't your father's R ... 8/X
@realDonaldTrump has run against #TheSwamp. Both parties. He has promised to take back our country & give it to the people. That is why thousands turn out in cornfields & airfields to hear the Queens #NYC developer talk to them like adults. That is why they love him. ... 9/X
I think @realDonaldTrump will win tomorrow. The question will be "what's next"? Hopefully he will fulfill the promises he has made, but the question is what will be left of the two old parties. @TheDemocrats will likely plummet further left towards @BernieSanders & @AOC ... 10/X
But what of the @GOP after @realDonaldTrump?

I don't see @VP or @NikkiHaley or @mikepompeo leading rallies like we've seen. I don't see corporatists like @JebBush making a comeback from the Trump reformation. 11/X
