First @TFT guide in a while from me, former Rank 1 and current Rank 10, for patch 10.22. This time I'll focus on how to be flexible + chosens tierlist + item tierlist + why Ashe is Queen of the North.
2 comps you can always force, and then 4 comps that need a chosen:

Chosen Sharpshooter can be any (jinx best)
Chosen Diana is best
Chosen Yasuo (or Xin if you find it early -- stack xin instead and position xin to far left or far right front)
Chosen Nami (if enlightened, play annie or lulu as well)

Notes on comps:
Overall, only two comps I'd force -- rest have too many issues (I will explain later).
Ashe: Adept is front line but can be replaced by ANY frontline. Sej/Aatrox always good. Nunu/WW/Sett underrated -- not too bad. LW/IE/GA is my favorite combo on Ashe.

Talon: inflexible in terms of units -- last talon item is BT or GS. Can run GA over QSS too but QSS makes him immune to Zzrot memes.
Chosen comps: only play if you hit chosen early (before 2-4).
Zzrot: best item in game. play on backline tank (NOT FRONT) to protect carry.

Level timings (my timing 90% of games right now):
4: 2-1
5: 2-5
6: 3-2 (roll to 20g if <60hp)
7: 4-1 (roll until strong)
-- often you roll to 20 or 30g here, then keep rolling to 20-30g every turn until you stabilize*
8: 5-1
4: 2-1
5: 2-5
6: 3-2 (roll to 20g if <60hp)
7: 4-1 (roll until strong)
-- often you roll to 20 or 30g here, then keep rolling to 20-30g every turn until you stabilize*
8: 5-1
Meta right now demands you be strong at level 7 -- sometimes people will roll until they are strong at 7 and then just go 8 late (like 5-5 late). Don't need to do this if you played early game right and managed health.
*What does stabilize mean?
*What does stabilize mean?
Stabilize means more than half of your board is 2starred, or your primary carry has 3 items + 2star (or 3starred in reroll comps -- both Duelist and Moonlight slowroll at 5 to 50g, or all-in at 3-1).
The BIGGEST mistake people make is tunneling on the SPECIFIC comps I post.

As Socks likes to say, comps are all about playing good frontline with good backline. For my Ashe comps, here are examples of comps that you might end up running at Level 7.
Notice some are scuffed as hell but all can lead to Ashe OR you just play something else.

Best part about IE/LW/GA Ashe is that those items are also good on Jhin and Talon. Ashe is my favorite because she's the best at 1* of those three, but if you hit Chosen Talon or Jhin... don't tunnel on Ashe!
As such, here is a chosen tier list (S always playable, A usually):

This is specifically for the 4-1 roll -- S-tier I always take those chosens (can sell at 5-1 roll). A-tier is usually take.
Consider items as well -- sometimes you just don't get swords or bows or gloves to play Ashe/Talon. As such, slam flexible items early. Item tier list:

A lot of the A-tier items aren't necessarily amazing (warmog...) but are items I would just slam early (stage 2 and 3). Don't be greedy and hold components to chase perfect items -- keep high health early is much easier than late. Flexing on items and chosens is critical.
Other comps:
6 mage: still fine, especially with chosen annie.
9 cultist: imo underrated. ship it.
dusk: not bad if you find chosen riven and have items. just feels inconsistent to force at 7.
ahri: if you dont hit ahri you are doomed, and even if you hit, sometimes still doomed

Other comps, continued:
9 warlord: great if hit but rly risky to chase
Nina/sin: great with zed items (rfc, runaans, qss)
Veigar: fine if you hit chosen veigar early
don't be afraid to try things -- i watched Bebe (KR #1) win with chosen kennen3 keeper frontline.

One decent rule of thumb for me is if the base cost is 2 higher, it is usually better at 1star than the lower 2star. For example, 1star sej (4cost) better than 2star hec (2star) for me. Also helps manage econ to replace.
Yone/Azir/Zilean one stars almost always playable.
