It happened when my dad was the guitarist for The Wailers (in the era after Bob died).
i dont remember the details 100% cause it happened when i was a kid, but i distinctly remember it being a thing cause rita marley borrowed the iron but didnt return it right away and my mom was kind of perturbed, because ya know, give back the iron.
let me explain a little bit (longtime followers ignore, this is the same old story you've heard a million times).
my dad is a musician, lloyd "gitsy" willis. he's a guitarist. toured w wailers and jimmy cliff. his biggest thing is he wrote the song "murder she wrote."
he's actually in the video, but if you blink you'll miss it.
Beyonce sung it a few times in concert, so dad has a writing credit on a Beyonce performance.
he also has a bunch of music awards, some for the song itself, and others because apparently the tune is very good so its gotten sampled a lot, including on a chris brown song, as well as nicki minaj and several latino artists
imo the weirdest thing is when dad was playing w jimmy cliff, cliff was featured in the steven segal movie "marked for death" and they did a scene in a club or something, so because of that my dad has a movie credit for a steven segal movie. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0932386/
he also has credits on the soundtrack for elton john's aida and a john denver album. and a ton of other things.
