Last night Chris Vanderweide was arrested and charged in relation to threats made against our chair @BernieFarber and executive director @ebalgord — calling them “evil Jews” who “must be shot.”

As of this afternoon Vanderweide was released on bail, pending trial.

We first went to the #HamOnt police service, who refused to pick up Vanderweide on breach of his suspended sentence conditions or lay a new charge.

Thankfully, York Region Police stepped in.
