Finished reading The Horse and His Boy to the kids last night and this was my favorite line of the whole book.

It’s when Aslan sneaks up on Bree, who’s explaining that Aslan being a lion is only a metaphor.
“Now, Bree,” Aslan tells him, “you poor, proud frightened Horse, draw near. Nearer still, my son. Do not dare not to dare. Touch me. Smell me. Here are my paws, here is my tail, these are my whiskers. I am a true Beast.”
The passive, weak, nice-guy version of Christ doesn’t exist.

He’s as much and as complete a Beast as Aslan.

This is the God we worship.
