Interesting history about this two drinks.
Did you know Coke got embedded with the US military and got special concessions to produce during WW2 when there was heavy embargo on Sugar as there was restriction place on that product because it was not essential to war efforts. P https://twitter.com/Mrbankstips/status/1323342625324355585
Pepsi on the other hand was stuck on the home front but they made good of that disadvantage by opening many Veteran centre.
Finally took the fight to Coke with a marketing campaign called "Pepsi Generation" taking market share away from Coke
Also Pepsi held a blind taste test and despite the fact that Coke always boasted that it's drink was better, Pepsi cam out on top in the taste test.

(Quite frankly though, I think Pepsi taste better today)
This actually caused the big wigs at Coke to rally around and developed what they called "New Coke" by changing the sacred age old recipe of Coke.
Of course it was a MASSIVE failure and they got squeezed for it. They returned to the old formula.
Pepsi vs Coke is one the most interesting Business Wars I've studied.

There's more but I'm good tired to talk about everything.
