Listening to an Irish teen on the radio and struck by how much his accent is tinged with a soft US twang - I don't have a strong Kerry accent by any stretch, and presume it's just down to the content they consume, but you'd wonder how long more our regional accents will survive.
This is different to natural evolution of accents from people moving here and people moving around the island, it seems to be purely based on the consumption of content from America. Not necessarily good or bad and nobody's fault, just a pity to see everything become homogeneous.
