PA Voting / Election Law Open 🧵🚨 !

@JamieMogil and I are election lawyers and have been fielding a ton of questions as we head into the big day tomorrow.

Please tag us with your ❓❔or DM us and we'll do our best to answer. #PAElection2020
First, let me stress how important is to make sure you're getting election your info from a trustworthy source.

@JamieMogil is an election fairness expert. She served as 2018 PA Election Protection Director for @commoncausepa 2016 HFA and 2012 OFA voter protection alum and...
...she's a former VP for PA League of Women Voters. Jamie currently serves as Voter Services Chair for Lower Merion Narberth LWV. And when it comes to PA election law, she was a fierce advocate for the new reforms.

Simply put, she knows what she's talking about.
I'm a slacker in comparison.

I'm an attorney who ran PA's Election Protection team for Obama in '12. I spend every election working to protect against voter disenfranchisement, whether for HFA in 2016, the ACLU in 2018 or Protect Our Vote Philly this year.
We're starting this thread because there is a lot misinformation being circulated.

Some of it is well-meaning and some of it is malicious.

Either way, misinformation is a form of voter suppression.
Before we get into the nitty gritty, do me a favor and save these phone numbers in your ☎️ contacts.

Right. Now.

🤔 What time is my polling place open?

(On the off chance your polling place isn't open on time, you should call the hotline(s) to report it. If you can, please stay at the polling place until you are able to vote).
🤔 What time do the polls close?

- The polls are open until 8pm. Anyone in line by 8 pm is entitled to vote.

(Call the hotline if this rule is not being followed or anyone is attempting to convince people to not wait or get out of line.)
