As we prepare for #HES2020 later this week, a quick word on presentations during this 1st virtual conference:
1. Please be on the look out for a forthcoming pre-conference email from this year's HES Vice-President and Program Chair for this year's annual conference. /1
1. Please be on the look out for a forthcoming pre-conference email from this year's HES Vice-President and Program Chair for this year's annual conference. /1
2. Please communicate with your Discussant and/or Session Chair if you have questions about how your session will run or anything related to the actual content of the session you'll be presenting in. /2
3. Session Chairs will be able to share their screens with speakers/presenters so they can share their presentations with the audience (e.g., slides, etc.). Notwithstanding, the chair will have to allow the shared feature, it is not automatic. /3
4. Sessions will be shorter than face-to-face sessions this year which also means each speaker will have less time than accustomed to when presenting in past conferences. Chairs will be working hard to help the sessions run within the hour allotted. /4
5. We are really looking forward to this year's first virtual #HES conference! Register now if you haven't done so already. You will not want to miss the wonderful opening plenary and keynote from Dr. Edmund Gordon this Thursday. We'll "see" you all very soon! /5
