I've heard over and over again from families + experts that the city spent way too little time actually thinking through how kids were going to learn this year, remotely and in person. Safety is very obviously the most important factor in reopening schools. But it’s worth asking why some spent so much time litigating every single study on kids and transmission, and so little time talking about how to prevent kids from falling years behind academically
