BC has had a surge of COVID-19 cases related to large social gatherings, like weddings, birthdays or baby showers, in private homes. A new PHO order limits the number of people allowed to gather in private homes to your household plus a maximum of six guests (your “safe six”).
This fall, follow these guidelines to help keep yourself, your family, and your community safe:
Keep gatherings in private homes and backyards limited to your own household members plus a maximum of six people

If your household is large, or includes elders or people with underlying health problems, even six people may be too many

In areas with higher transmission, like the Fraser Valley, we should say no to visits for now. Instead, if you are wanting to spend time with your "safe six", choose a local restaurant to catch up, knowing that there are comprehensive COVID-19 safety precautions in place.
