Hurricane Zeta and the Oklahoma Ice Storm happened around the same time.

Zeta knocked ~3 million customers out
Ice storm knocked ~ 300,000 customers out

Today's numbers;
Southeast: ~155,000
Oklahoma: ~142,000

Oklahoma has been forgotten about, and we are still hurting badly.
Don't get me wrong, the damage is catastrophic, and crews have come in from all over to help repair damage.

But a fast moving hurricane grabs headlines a lot better than a disaster that evolves slowly (like an ice storm).
In the OKC Metro, many will have to wait another week for lights.

In parts of rural SW Oklahoma, some residents have been told 30 days, with full restoration perhaps not coming for as much as 8 weeks.
I'm not faulting anyone here. Zeta was a massive disaster to the power infrastructure in the SE.

If Zeta hadn't have happened when it did, I think Oklahoma would be restored lots quicker. It zapped resources and pulled help away. That's nobody's fault. It's just bad timing.
It is my hope that as LA/MS/AL are restored quickly, those crews will come our way and help finish the job.

We've got lots of linemen working 18+ hour days to get things fixed. And it will get fixed soon.

Big thanks to the linemen on the fronts lines helping our state recover.
