left-progressives need to not reach across the aisle towards anyone to the right of them that that still act like there’s free market & private nonprofit solutions to structural issues. it only normalizes the idea that shit like GoFundMe is an acceptable proxy for social services
even if the USA magically established a british NHS style healthcare system for everyone and abolished the private health insurance industry we’d still have the same boris johnson-esque conservative leadership peddling the same old austerity & free market principles with racism
i still believe whenever we keep reminding how inefficient & cruel free market principles & private nonprofit-ization is; the Wall Street swindle it is by design, it wakes up a ton more casuals

poc have austerity-brainworms as much as whites do! unpacking is a collective effort
even socialists have austerity brainworms; we all have to unlearn scarcity based economics that by design only incentivize resource stockpiling, militarized borders and imperialism in the first place
