Erling Håland had left RB Salzburg to join Borussia Dortmund in the January Transfer Window, 2020. He has been brilliant ever since, and has truly made a name for himself, attracting some of the top European Clubs in World Football. 
• Transfer Activity:At the moment, no club has shown any major signs in signing him. We can definitely rule out a move in January, but ruling anything out for the summer would be a bit too early despite Dortmund wanting to keep him.
• PriceAs far as his price is concerned: the player has a release clause of €75M which would be valid from 2022. Even if a team does want to sign him before this period, they would still have to pay a pretty high amount to get him. Won’t be easy.
• Contractual Situation: Erling Håland had signed a contract with Dortmund until 2024. His €75M release clause, as mentioned above, is valid from 2022. Whether or not Dortmund is going to offer him a contract renewal is yet to be known.
• Chances of Barça signing him at the moment: As things stand, Barcelona are no where near the financial position to sign such an expensive player. Obviously we can’t rule anything out for the future, but at the moment, there is absolutely no chance.
What about other clubs? Although anything is possible in the future and we can’t rule anything out, we can definitely keep an eye on some clubs to make a bid for him in the near future, one of them being Real Madrid. But it won’t be easy for any club to get him.
Any interested team would have to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund, who obviously won’t let the player go for cheap. They are pretty strong negotiators and it won’t be a piece of cake to reach an agreement with them over a potential transfer.
