Until a vaccine (one in trials, or one not yet developed) is proven to have a high efficacy - and equally importantly, a long term track record for its safety profile, which would result in a large majority of the nation taking it - then alternative solutions must be adopted. 6/n

There's a lot of kickback, understandably, from many parts of society about lockdown, vaccines, testing, etc.

24-48 hour immunity passports - granted by testing negative on an 'asymptomatic-detectable' LFT, which is linked to a phone App - will be introduced by the Gov very soon, IMO. In fact, I believe that it is waiting on the launch of #AVCT's LFT, to announce the concept. 9/n
I think the main reason that many don't appreciate the real potential of LFTs in suppressing #COVID19 is that there aren't actually any on the market yet (that can be used by anyone, at home, to detect all cases). As mass testing for a virus on a global scale has never... 10/n

I don't have a box of Abbott- or Roche-branded antigen LFTs in my bathroom. Detecting asymptomatic cases is evidently v. difficult science.
