@hughhewitt So Hugh I am listening to your show ( i didnt vote for Trump in 2016, voted for him now) I probably cant get into the call: the #1 reason I am voting against Biden is how he is using Covid in his campaign. Instead of pitching something different then Trump
Joe Biden us saying " I'll do twice as much as Trump did and maybe a second lockdown" he is politicising the virus and using the fear of the virus while campaigning as a " UNITER" and it's all rather grotesque. #2 for me is the Court Packing thing. If Joe Biden
Goes along with the worst instincts of the Democratic Party then the American Legal System ( in need of serious overhaul and reform) will be a huge shambles and we will have a future of constitutional crisis. We need strong leadership to disrupt broken systems
#3 Donald Trump has started some MAJOR changes in Foreign policy. The new wave of peace deals in the middle east and the Balkans are a part of that change. IF Joe is elected we return to business as usual. The idea of an American president not starting a new foreign conflict
Is fundamentally healthy and something we should encourage. #4 following covid we need a more pragmatic globalism. To much of vital supply chains were spread into other countries more susceptible to the pandemic. We need to reorder our economy. Biden wont do that, Trump will
#5 the financial sector needs structural reforms. The covid crisis has exposed how serious problems in NYC are driven by how real estate investment is structured. The student loan crisis and how universities do business is a similar issue.
Well I don't expect president from to address those issues I at least think he might. My only expectation of Joe Biden and Kamaka Harris is that they will exacerbate these issues.
#6 " anarchy in the USA" I've watched the strain of leftist anarchists now manifested as Antifa/blm since the WTO protests in the 90s. They arent stopping if Biden wins. They are changing tactics. They are going into suburbs for a reason
How a President/governor/ mayor handles them will be tricky. But Joe will ignore this issue and it will flair up in 2022 and 2024. Trump will at least try to remove this cancer from our body politic
And on a related note there is the concept of sanctuary cities as the more insidious form of political anarchy. The policy have originally a useful and noble purpose. But that promise was corrupted in A weird ethnic voter alliance way
If we're going to have illegal or undocumented immigrants in the country they you should have access to certain public services. Such as during a time of a pandemic they should have access to health services. Otherwise they become a point where the infection spreads rapidly
But the policy that had good ideas and good intentions has devolved into illegal aliens basically get to ignore various criminal law. A system that was designed to protect powerless people has enabled them to victimize others. And in more broad ways this spirit of anarchy
Is now encoded in our partisanship. " if we can rig a system where x gets to ignore the laws why not y?" And while I dont think Trump will fight these forces he might. Biden will especially enable these forces
#7 Joe isnt a spring chicken ( nor is trump) both are packaged deals implicitly ( pence in 2024/ Harris in 2024). Voting on the future implied in either of those no good comes to people who arent in her Donor circle by giving Harris more power.
