Here are some of my strategies for digital burnout avoidance and also making sure you get the best out of any conference:
1. Check the schedule and pick the sessions you desperately want to attend as it launches - these are the must haves.
2. Ensure you leave gaps where possible for screen down time and breaks. We have a week of amazing content, but it is a whole week of all day content.

3. Remember that all the sessions are being recorded and saved, if you can't go to things just now that's ok. Scroll through the #museums2020 comments (avoiding the usual twitter) when you need your usual twitter binge as I do.
4. Attend the socials and networking sessions. This is the key part of the whole day. If you need to dodge some extra sessions to make sure you have brain power for later, do it. Trust me when I say this part is essential.

5. Make sure to engage on twitter after/during sessions. It's where secondary connections are made in the Museum world and important seeing as we can't trade business cards this year.
Enjoy the conference!

(p.s. make sure to stock up on snacks and juice so you can quickly eat something between sessions too.)
