1/10 This weekend the PM announced new measures to bring England into lockdown while many parts of the country & many vulnerable people have been living in lockdown conditions.

Throughout the pandemic we have carried out research & held discussions about its implications.
2/10 Below are some of our key findings and recommendations to Government as the whole country enters a second lockdown period.

It's vital we ensure we are protecting women at work - who make up the majority of frontline roles - and at home . https://www.fawcettsociety.org.uk/coronavirus-making-women-visible
3/10 Women make up just 14 out of 50 members of SAGE & men are 2.7 times more likely to feature as expert commentators in the media. This risks gendered implications not being accounted for.

It is vital women are better represented in all decisions.

4/10 Many women continue to live in abusive environments. Home is not a safe place for many women and girls.

Urgent funding must be provided to ensure that violence against women and girls services can cope with the impact of the Coronavirus and increased demand during lockdown.
6/10 The government must make migrant women safe and release women from immigration detention. Ensure financial and housing support for all migrant women, particularly those who are destitute.

England should follow Wales and Scotland and end ‘no recourse to public funds’.
7/10 The majority of people in frontline jobs are women. It's vital we ensure they are adequately protected with appropriate protective clothing that is suited for women.
9/10 Throughout the pandemic we have been discussing the impact of Coronavirus on women - from exploring the mental health implications to looking at how it is impacting racial inequalities.
