Short Thread: A murder case of 1996 that shocked Shiv sena & cause one potential heir to have an exit from Shiv sena.

As Raj thackeray in his speech,body language & aggression matches upto Balasaheb thackeray so people were seeing a potential heir in him! Uddhav was dormant in politics & was interested in only photography n stuff. It was only after his mother forced him,he started taking interst
So in 1996 one tragedy happened & raj thackeray was caught in a controversy surrounding a middle-class resident of Laxmi Niwas Ramesh Kini who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a theatre in Pune. Police declared death by heart attack.
The background of his death was Ramesh was a tenant in an old building Laxmi niwas in matunga. The owner of the building was Raj thackeray's best friend. He wanted to raze down the building so to redevelop it. He was pressurizing Ramesh Kini & his wife sheila to vacate the flat.
But ramesh & his wife even after so much pressure were notready to vacate the flat. Then after some days, Ramesh was found dead in mysterious circumstances. Ramesh's wife Sheila blamed Raj thackeray for her husbnd's death though police as always ruled out any foul play
Then amid huge public outrage case was transferred to CBI.
But the interesting part was what followed after CBI came into the picture & the crucial role of Amitabh Bachchan in it to save Raj thackeray! All these articles r more thn two decades old so we can expect sm authencity.

All this info is in public domain so I m not making my own opinion. Also the articles, print media, press dated back in 90s cannot be discarded bluntly since that time media was not corrupt the way it is today. Writers/editors were far more courageous & used to possess spine.
Amitabh is silent due to his loyalty to the thackeray family so expcting him to speak against injustice is wrthless. Fr him, standing up for SSR's justice wud be to directly go against thackerays! Anywys d point I was trying to make is hw CBI was manipulated wid d hlp of links!
Bt this time CBI is under an able & strng leadership, so v hv high hopes. This case will fall flat only if CBI is not able to make a watertight case coz of lack of concrete evidence. Othrwise no external manipulation can be done unlike in Ramesh Kini's case linked to thackerays!
