Thread of rescue dogs I unsuccessfully tried to adopt in the last 7 months of quarantine and definitely don’t still think about 🐶
1. This is Chance. He is a pug/German Shepherd (!?!?!) and seemed like a really good listener and I really respect that in a dog. I only hope Chance’s new owners recognize how *truly* photogenic he is. It’s legal for me to use these photos from Petfinder right
2. Logan seemed super cool & confident, like a high school sophomore or the middle evolution of a Pokémon. I really loved Logan and tbh I wasn’t even gonna change his name because there is def a Hugh Jackman energy going on here
3. Nelson the Corgi was an absolute lazy king. I would have loved him and scratched him and celebrated his exercise achievements and thrown him multiple parties. Within five minutes of applying for Nelson, I was told he had already been adopted, however I do not blame him
4. Paulie the Frenchie was put in a shelter by a breeder because apparently he was breeding *too much* and unfortunately I just couldn’t really identify with straight culture like that
5. I met Mack at a shelter and honestly both of us were very nervous about our first impressions. However Mack is even more anxious than me and so I hope someone with a very big yard can adopt him and let him dig up every bone ever made because he *deserves it*
6. Pedro and I spent the day together and I thought we had something special and then he had something even more special with another family and it’s fine I’m fine I wish him only the best and just to reiterate it’s fine I’m fine it’s fine
Finally there is John Doe. I don’t actually know what this pup’s name was because I have never saved a photo faster in my entire life and in doing so I accidentally exited the website and couldn’t find the listing again. All I have left now is the memory of what we could have had
anyway we have a cat now
