We wanted to call this out in open, cause the senior author our our previous publication has been working on the Asian Spiranthes against all odds, and it seemed terribly unfair for her efforts to be dismissed this brutally.

..sure there have been many before us, but we got a bit lucky that the discussions on diversity, inclusiveness & racism took hold in the US in the last 1 year & our voice in-turn got heard.
