Protesters marched around the courthouse, returned to Esther Short Park, and along the way were confronted by armed right-wingers claiming to guard businesses from property damage. I believe cops ordered protesters to leave the area, which is when arrests started. (13/21)
Nearly 30% of the Vancouver arrests were journalists. @MacSmiff was the first Portland journalist arrested, back in June. I don't think @DocLowKey was arrested over the summer. Neither should've been arrested (14/21): https://twitter.com/R3volutionDaddy/status/1322455020684546048
Both @MacSmiff & @DocLowKey have The Apps (Venmo, Cash App, etc.) on their profiles. Compensate them for their unpaid work as you can. Hire them, editors! Both are strong, resilient people, but getting arrested is traumatic. Neither should've had their rights violated. (15/21)
Going out on a wild, controversial limb to say local cop and/or federal agent abuses against protesters, journalists, medics, clergy, parents, students, children, et al are barbaric and unjustifiable. (16/21)

It seems that protesters gradually dispersed from the area. I'm going to make a separate thread for Halloween Night's protests, and try and get info on what's happening tonight. Need to read these posts a few more times tbh. (19/21)
