Alright, time to learn the KID properly from the black side. What video resources do you all like the best to get a feel for the positions and ideas? Not very interested in drilling specific variations as of now, just want the essence of the KID.
I've read annotated game collections but I need some more hand holding here. How is the chess24 video series on the KID?
Also tournaments sometimes involve a lot of luck. All of my prep as black was against 1. e4 as many of you who helped me know, I totally neglected 1. d4 as I'm just picking up the KID and had played it only once before OTB. That was a major flaw in my prep leading up here.
Final standings. Horrible tournament due to my lack of prep as black, won both white games. I'm hoping to win one of these tournaments next year after I fix my black repertoire because I feel like I've been playing at a 2000 level if I get out of the opening fine.
