Rosenstein Part 3 of 3 - Thread - Uranium, JCPOA and Oligarchs
In 1993 Clinton-Yeltsin negotiated the Megatons to Megawatts Program. Under that Agreement, Russia downblended 500 metric tons of HEU, equivalent to 20,000 nuclear wearheads, into LEU.
The program ended in 2013, just after the U1 deal was completed. That program also gave Russia access to the American Nuclear industry/sector.
In 2009, the O'Biden admin was working on a variation of that former deal. It was to consolidate the materials into fewer locations

At the same time, 2 things were happening. First an investigation was going on that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks

The 2nd was the beginning of the Iran deal.
The investigation, was led by McCabe involved DOJ's Rosenstein and Weissman, and overseen by "Eric" Holder, Mueller and Comey. It captured ample evidence of corruption going back to the highest levels of the Russian gov't
Mikerin would not be charged till August 2015, long after the U1 deal was in place. Mikerin ended up with a plea deal, that essentially was a slap on the wrist.

Meanwhile, back in 2010 as O'Biden was working on the Iran deal, renegotiating MegaWatts, and uranium consolidation. The Russian Illegals case comes to light. The illegals were getting close to Crooked, yet another scandal to be swept away, but all interconnected.
Was the illegals case to be swept away to pave the way for uranium consolidation to take place in connection with the Iran deal? Seems likely, the O'Biden admin didn't even want to bothered with it.
There are a lot of misconceptions of the U1 deal. It enabled the Russians to partner with a world-class uranium company that already had operations in Australia, Canada, South Africa, United States, and Kazakhstan.
The “deal” enabled ARMZ/Rosatom by virtue of U1, to gain a valuable seat at the table through their existing membership in the Washington D.C.-based Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and the Uranium Producers of America (UPA), headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
U1’s new Russian partners received the added bonus of being able to walk the halls of Congress, the DOE, Dept of Commerce, and speak openly with administration officials, congressmen, senators, and staffs in the delegations of all seven uranium-producing states
The whole 20% of uranium to Russia, is incorrect. In reality what happened was Russia was able move production to lower cost countries, like Kazakhstan vs the US, effectively stifling the US uranium industry
In January 2013, before Rosenstein's perps were charged, Rosatom purchased the remaining 48.6 percent of Uranium One for $1.3 billion dollars. That’s the big story, not the fiction of “the Russians acquiring 20 percent of U.S. uranium resources.”
KAZAKHSTAN

February 2013: Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy R. Sherman departs for Almaty, Kazakhstan to lead the United States’ delegation to P5+1 talks over Iran’s nuclear program with Iran beginning February 26.
In February 2007, Uranium One and UrAsia decided to merge and Uranium One became the owner of UrAsia's uranium assets in Kazakhstan.
Prior to the buyout of U1 by Rosatom in 2010, U1 had an interest in Kazatomprom a Kazak uranium company. Their strategy was to diversify their partnerships, so that the major countries couldn't gain control. Mukhtar Dzhakishev was the CEO.
On May 21, 2009, former President of Kazatomprom Mukhtar Dzhakishev was arrested in his company’s office in Astana. In just 3 days, he was formally charged with “embezzling the property entrusted to him by the state; namely the shares in Kazakhstan’s largest uranium fields
Dzhakishev before being arrested warned the U.S. against negotiations with Russia until we indicate otherwise. He as a businessman wanted a diversified company, not a "colony' controlled by the Russians.
One of the reasons portayed as to why Dzhakishev was arrested was his friendship with banker and opposition politician Mukhtar Ablyazov and that the Russians would be able to consolidate the control of uranium production as talked about earlier in the thread
Mukhtar Ablyazov is a complex individual, he was accused of embezzling $6 billion from BTA Bank while serving as chairman. He maintains his innocence, that the bank's forced nationalization in 2009 was part of an effort by Nazarbayev “to dispose of Ablyazov.” as political opp
During Dzhakishev's show trial, his interviews were leaked. Here he talks about how at the time of the sale, the company was over valued and then they drove the spot prices for uranium up.
They were manipulating the market to the tune of a cool $3B and Guistra wanted to understand if Dzhakishev knew what was going on.
They pinned the crimes they were committing on Dzhakishev and he had no way to prove his innocence, he wasn't going to be allowed to stand in the way of the Democrats and their schemes. Sound familiar?
Guistra had already embarked on their scheme, but a recent Kazak law stopped access in Kazakhstan to the stock exchange, so the legal teams got involved and worked out a waiver
Then the letter that was drafted was used to setup him up. The Prime Minister Karim Massimov had told Dzhakishev that interviewing new witnesses wasn't necessary because now they had irrefutable evidence.
Dzhakishev was surprisingly released from jail in March of this year.
The oligarch in the recently posted picture with the Bidens (Feb 2014) was the oligarch in charge of recovering as much of Ablyazov's assets as he could, after he was chased out of the country. Pictured on the right is Karim Massimov.
What we know so far is, Hunter received payments from KazMunaiGas, since he was a member of the management team of the Kazakh company Burisma Kazakhstan. Kenes was a member of KazMunaiGas.

Here is the statement from the President of Kazak after the Iran deal was signed.
At the end of the day, under O'Biden, the CIFUS team that included "Eric" Holder appoved the sale of U1 even though an investigation run by McCabe, Rosenstein and Weissman had uncovered massive corruption. Then the investigation was watered down after the deal was complete.
Sure seems Rod was very much "Eric's" guy and trying to bury a lot of people's past sins. I wonder if we will ever here the real story. https://twitter.com/ZZZJazzy/status/1291547693467283459?s=20
