This is why long term care Covid stats matters to me. We have undertaken measures to prevent death and suffering and hospital collapse. LTC accounts for ~80% of Covid mortalities. If we are honest in our selfless goal of preventing death, we must ensure that LTC is protected.
Our societal goal is to save lives. That’s what I’m told. And LTC is where most ppl are dying. So I look at LTC to see if our actions are doing what we want them to. I also look at LTC to see if our we are remaining true to our stated goals. Is it to protect all life, or some?
