End of quite a week. One last comment on the formal end of the Corbyn project.

It was quite unbelievably shit at political tradecraft. Shit at media, shit at polling and research, shit at coalition-building, shit at policy development and woefully shit at execution.

Turns out that lifetimes spent in the sectarian left and with people you basically agree with on everything except narcissistic minor points of strategy and ideology doesn't prepare you for contact with the wider world. Who knew?

Because, in the end, everything the far left touches dies.

I'm hoping friends and family members who were chased out of Labour, mainly by antisemitism but also through despair at the way everything else was mis-run, and its principles perverted, will find a way back. We'll be a better country with a better Labour Party.
