-4x04; how they only first got together to fill a void after phoenix shut down. it speaks volumes, and it's another reason why they don't work. they were never able to connect emotionally, 'cause that's not what they needed/wanted from each other. my guess from what we know/seen-
-is macdesi needed a distraction after phoenix disbanded, and turned to each other to get that in the form of a physical relationship. hence, why they were never that "normal" couple, 'cause neither wanted that. if they did then why was it so difficult for them to try and be?-
-they had plenty of chances to try that second time around to be better, try harder at maintaining a healthy relationship. but it all fell apart and they went back to being mostly physical. i mean, you'd think if two people really wanted to be together why did they put off-
-having "that" conversation? (mac mentioned they did in 4x06). or why did they also not find time to go on a proper date before 4x07?. i'm sure if they thought getting back together again was a good idea, then nothing would've gotten in the way of them at least trying-
-to make it work (like riley tried with aubrey/billy. as well as bozer with leanna). i honestly think macdesi didn't actually believe things would be any different this time around. hence, why there was a lack of effort on both sides to make things work
