DK Metcalf is an example to younger receivers about the value of work rate. All the athleticism in the world is irrelevant if you can’t run routes. He’s learned how to run precise, intelligent routes very early in his career. His work rate should be emphasised every game he plays
It's never going to be fully appreciated but where Metcalf came from. You realize how bad his tape had to be for him to fall as far as he did? He was doing stuff like this all the time.

He's as athletic now as he was in college. All that space he's finding/creating for himself now against NFL DBs he couldn't get against college DBs. That's a polar opposite WR. And that only happens if you work like a demon every single day.
